Utrecht, Feb. 24, 2026 - For four days, Royal Jaarbeurs was all about motorcycle passion. MOTORbeurs Utrecht concluded its 40th edition as an anniversary that did more than look back: the event convincingly underlined how strong and future-oriented the Dutch motorcycle industry is. The fair attracted 97,000 visitors, an increase of more than 7 percent compared to last year, and thus further developed into a vibrant meeting point where inspiration, innovation and the anticipation of the new motorcycle season came together. From new models and clothing & accessories to travel, technological innovations and clubs, the energy on the show floor was undeniable.
Organization looks back and sets course forward
According to fair manager Rachel Jankowsky, the anniversary edition underscores MOTORbeurs Utrecht 's role as a central platform for motorcycle enthusiasts and the motorcycle industry. "We look back on a strong edition. The involvement of visitors, exhibitors and partners shows that the motorcycle community is active and broad-based." That cooperation was given a formal follow-up during the opening of the importer hall with the signing of a letter of intent, which establishes cooperation with the importers, affiliated with the RAI Association, for the next three years. "With this agreement, we confirm MOTORbeurs Utrecht as a sector-wide stage. Because RAI Vereniging, through its affiliated importers, now represents the entire market share, the offer at the fair is more complete than ever. This joint foundation makes it possible to continue supporting the sector and to further develop MOTORbeurs Utrecht towards 2027."
All major brands together on the exhibition floor
According to the industry, the strength of this edition also lay in the broad representation. Tom Crooijmans, section chairman motorcycles at RAI Association: "We look back on a very successful 40thedition of MOTORbeurs Utrecht. By working well together, we as a sector have left a calling card. I am proud of what we have achieved together in Hall 7, where almost all parties active in the Dutch market were present. More and more different target groups - including young people and women - are choosing motorcycles - something that was also evident in various articles that appeared in the media around MOTORbeurs Utrecht . But there is more: during a symposium on the first day of MOTORbeurs Utrecht , RAI Association challenged employers and governments to take a broader view when making mobility plans: motorcycles should be part of it. " The presence of almost all major brands, complemented by niche players and innovative concepts, made the fair a complete and relevant overview of the market.
Forty years relevant for every motorcycle fan
For the Royal Dutch Motorcycling Association (KNMV), the anniversary edition was also a confirmation of the event's enduring significance. Director-director Wim Mulder: "This anniversary edition proves that MOTORbeurs Utrecht is still the event for every motorcycle fan, even after forty years. What a good feeling to kick off the motorcycle year together with hundreds of exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors every day." According to Mulder, the anticipation for the new season was palpable everywhere. "Even at our booth you notice that everyone is looking forward to the first beautiful days to hit the road together. You can feel that anticipation everywhere at the event. And that is four days of enjoyment."
Jubilee as a springboard to the future
With a strong turnout, a widely supported sector and a palpable community energy, MOTORbeurs Utrecht celebrated its fortieth anniversary in a way that looked forward. The jubilee edition made it clear that the event not only looks back on a rich history, but above all sets the course for the future.
The first joint RIDERS Festival - powered by MOTORbeurs Utrecht - will take place on May 30 and 31, 2026. MOTORbeurs Utrecht 2027 will take place from February 18 to 21, 2027.
